Bulgarian Geological Society excursion across Eastern Serbia
During the last weekend (12-14.05.2017.) excursion across Eastern Serbia was organized by the Bulgarian Geological Society within international cooperation between Serbian and Bulgarian geological societies. Guests from Bulgaria had an opportunity to see geological and cultural-historic sights of Rajac, Donji Milanovac, Boljetin, Golubac, Majdanpek and Đerdap Gorge.
Guests from Bulgaria were welcomed by the members of the Serbian Geological Society. Beside our colleagues prof. Dr Dragan Milovanović, prof. Dr Dragoman Rabrenović, prof. Dr Veselin Dragišić, prof. Dr Zoran Stevanović, prof. Dr Ljupko Rundić, Dr Jovan Kovačević, Dr Aleksandra Maran Stevanović and Zoran Bojić dipl. ing. geol., organization of this excursion couldn’t be possible without Nenad Radaković – deputy director of Đerdap National Park p.a. and Periša Živković dipl. ing. geol. – from Majdanpek Copper Mine.
During last days, guests had an opportunity to see Vratna prerast, geological outcrops of Pesača, Golubac Fortress, Mining museum and open-pit in Majdanpek, Rajko's Cave, archaeological site Lepenski Vir and Golo Brdo viewpoint.
